Hi, I’m Emily. I am a single mom with two amazing sons: Carter and Beckett. We currently reside in Bowling Green, OH. I fell in love with photography as a teen. I can remember hanging out with friends and I was always the one with the camera in hand. I loved capturing every moment, not because I was thinking about creating memories—because come on, what teenager cares about that kind of stuff—I was doing it because I just loved taking pictures! Now, years later, I realize that those pictures are valuable memories. They remind me every day about my childhood and teen years.
In 2000, right before my senior year of high school, I was in a terrible car accident. I was ejected from a car and suffered serious injury. I had a broken jaw, broken femur and a TBI (traumatic brain injury) that affected my short-term memory. I spent many hours in physical, speech and occupational therapy to help get me back to the “old” me. To this day, I still have some short-term memory issues but have learned how to cope. These life experiences are the root of my passion for photography. I want to make sure, no matter what, that I can remember as much as possible about my family and friends. I feel blessed to be able to make a living from something that I truly love and hope I that I can use my passion to create lasting and cherished memories for your family.
